Koil Alwar Thirumanjanam ceremony was performed at the Tirumala Srivari Temple in a glorious manner on Tuesday. On the occasion of Vaikuntha Ekadashi on December 25, the temple staff held cleaning process early in the morning, after the archana services, the priests covered the Srivari Moolavirattu with a silk cloth. The program was started by going around with holy water mixed with spices like Namukopu, Sri Churnam, Musk Turmeric, Pachaku, Gadda Karpuram, Sandalwood Powder, Kichiligarda etc.

Ananda nilayam, Bangaruvakili and other sub-temples of Srivari temple, temple premises, worship materials etc. were also cleansed. Devotees are allowed to see the Swami from 12 noon after the offering is made.

Meanwhile, the devotees flocked to Vaikuntha Ekadashi Darshan in large numbers on Tuesday which led to a traffic jam. The police blocked the road while the devotees demanded that tickets be issued to them for darshans.

TTD, on the other hand, has suspended Tirumala Sri Venkanna Sarvadarshanam tokens. Sarvadarshan has announced that it will suspend the issuance of tokens from Monday to January 2. Sarvadarshan tokens have already been issued till 24. From December 24 to January 3, TTD tokens will be issued only to locals in Tirupati for darshan through Vaikuntha.

TTD appealed to devotees who have booked tickets for Darshan to come to Tirumala from Monday to January 3 and those who have no darshan tickets are asked to postpone their journey in the wake of corona regulations.
