YSR Congress party leader and Rajya Sabha member Vijayasai Reddy from the Chief Minister's camp office participated in the Prime Minister's virtual meeting on Friday. The meeting discussed coronavirus prevention and distribution of vaccines. On this occasion, the member of the Parliamentary Vijayasai Reddy said that their Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy conducted the high number of tests during the absence of testing. Nearly 20 per cent of the population is said to have undergone coronavirus tests so far.

He briefed the prime minister's meeting, there are 6,000 active cases in the state, with a death rate of 0.81 per cent. With this, AP has the third-highest coronavirus recovery rate in the country. He said that along with the efforts of CM YS Jagan, the Prime Minister was also cooperating in this. He lauded the Prime Minister's efforts in making the vaccine.

Vijayasai Reddy commented that the decision to give this vaccine to Frontline Warriors was a precedent. "We are providing free treatment to covid through Aarogyasri and reimbursement in 150 super speciality hospitals," he said. He said that CM YS Jagan had made 432, 108 vehicles available and 656 104 vehicles available. "We are spending a lot of money on AP for the prevention of covid at a rate of Rs 10.18 crore a day," he said of which Rs 4.57 crore was spent on tests alone," Vijayasai Reddy said.

He also asked the Prime Minister to help Andhra Pradesh financially to prevent coronavirus and appealed to the centre to help in setting up the infrastructure required for vaccine storage and to give the vaccine for free to those who are below poverty level.
