Guntur: AP Women's Commission chairperson Vasireddy Padma on Monday met Guntur urban SP R N Ammireddy at district police officer here and enquired about the progress in investigation in the case of blackmail of an engineering girl student by some of her friends.
Additional SP D Gangadharam and Guntur Disha police station DSP A Lakshminarayana, explained the details of case to her.
Later, speaking to media, Padma said that as soon as case was registered against two engineering students, the police arrested the accused .She said she had directed the police officials to collect details of students who uploaded objectionable pictures of girl on a website.
She suggested that girl students take all the precautions while using Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp. She urged the managements of educational institutions to conduct counselling to the students.
