Call to recollect sacrifices of martyrs in Eluru
Deputy Chief Minister Alla Nani has called upon people to recollect the sacrifices of martyrs like Potti Sriramulu which provided us a chance to live with freedom and dignity.
Eluru: Deputy Chief Minister Alla Nani has called upon people to recollect the sacrifices of martyrs like Potti Sriramulu which provided us a chance to live with freedom and dignity.
Participating in the State Formation Day celebrations here on Friday, he said that the State government took a decision to celebrate State formation day which was neglected during the past five years.
Stating that education and health are key areas for the progress of any society, he said the government introduced the 'Amma Vodi' scheme to impart education to all sections of society. It was education through which differences in society can be rooted out.
The government is also providing health cover to poor families under Arogya Sri scheme. Minister for Housing Ch Sriranganadharaju called upon the students to take up the task of educating people on the adverse effects of plastics and end the menace of single use plastic which has become a threat to very existence of human race.
MLAs K Abbayya Chowdary, Vasu Babu, MLC Ramu Suryarao, Collector R Muthyala Raju, and others spoke. Students presented various cultural programmes on the occasion.
