Chief Minister YS Jagan Urges Police To Maintain Law And Order In the state
Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy participated in the police martyrdom commemoration day at Vijayawada Indira Gandhi Municipal Stadium.
Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy participated in the police martyrdom commemoration day at Vijayawada Indira Gandhi Municipal Stadium. He paid tribute to the martyrs and received a salute from the police. Afterwards, they launched the Amaralu Vaaru book. Speaking on occasion, CM Jagan said that as part of their duty many police officers became martyrs. The CM called on the police to work to ensure the dignity and respect of the general public.
CM Jagan said that every police continually strive for a better system. He said the three lions on the police cap were proof of the sovereignty of the country and urged that there should be no exceptions in maintaining law and order. Jagan recalled what he said at the first meeting after taking over as chief minister that law and order should be maintained first. He said the law is the same for everyone.
"The police are struggling without a holiday. So for the first time in the country, police have been declared a weekend holiday." CM asserted. The police can be mentally healthy if they spend a day with their families. After their government came to power, the salaries of home guards were Rs. 18,000 to Rs. 21,000 and Rs 5 lakh is sanctioned for martyrs. We are also the first state to declare 5 lakh exgratia.
