Chittoor: Deputy Chief Minister K Narayana Swamy stated that then Chief Minister YS Rajasekhar Reddy introduced fee reimbursement system and his son YS Jagan Mohan Reddy is continuing his legacy in all respects. Ammavodi scheme was unique one in the country and the Chief Minister has already decided to upgrade all the government schools as English Medium schools, he said.

The Deputy Chief Minister inaugurated MS Subbulakshmi Auditorium at Dravidian University, Kuppam on Saturday. Panchayat Raj Minister P Ramachandra Reddy, Minister for Education A Suresh, Chittoor MP N Reddappa and others were present.

Addressing a meeting on the occasion, Narayanaswamy explained the achievements of the YSRCP government. He alleged that there was no significant development in Kuppam Assembly constituency though it was represented by N Chandrababu Naidu for several years. He reiterated that fee reimbursement scheme has been very useful for the students of SCs, STs, BCs, and Minorities.

PR Minister P Ramachandra Reddy recalled that the then Chief Minister N T Rama Rao was the founder of Dravidian University and it was developed by then Dr Y S Rajasekhar Reddy only. Minister for Education, A Suresh said that AP Government would extend it's support for the development of Dravidian University. Chittoor MP N Reddappa and others also spoke. Acharya Lokanath Reddy, Vice-Chancellor, Dravidian University welcomed the guests.
