District Collector I Samuel Anand Kumar directed the officials to take steps to upload progress of the Jalshakti Abhiyan works taken up in Bollapalli And Veldurti mandals to improve the groundwater tables of Guntur district.
Guntur: District Collector I Samuel Anand Kumar directed the officials to take steps to upload progress of the Jalshakti Abhiyan works taken up in Bollapalli And Veldurti mandals to improve the groundwater tables of Guntur district.
He addressed a meeting held in the conference hall at the Collectorate in Guntur city on Tuesday. Speaking on the occasion, he explained the steps taken by the district administration under this scheme and asked the officials to upload progress of the works in the website to take it up with the Centre. The District Collector instructed the officials to upload details of the groundwater tables in the mandals.
Jalashakti Abhiyan district nodal officer appointed by the Central government Nagi Reddy said that he visited the fields in the mandals and studied the situation. They were examining the proposals prepared to study the groundwater levels in the mandals. He said that they are creating awareness on the need to improve groundwater tables.
