Contestants warned against code violation in Rajamahendravaram

Rajamahendravaram: Model Code of Conduct officer Vara Prasad has said that stern action will be taken against the contestants, if they spend money above the limit given by the Election Commission (EC).

All the contestants should get prior permission for conducting rallies, meetings etc.

A team in this regard extensively inspected various areas in the city and directed to remove the flexes, hoardings, banners etc of the candidates arranged without permission.

Confidential reports relating to expenses of the contestants are being sent to district election officer.

Any deviation relating to EC rules will be viewed seriously and Election Commission is particular in this regard, he added.
