Chittoor: Despite taking a number of effective measures for prevention of cyber criminals, the crimes have been occurring frequently in banking transactions in the district, said Superintendent of Police S Senthil Kumar.

Addressing media persons here on Saturday, the SP said that one cyber criminal has managed to draw Rs.1.41 lakh from a customer in Palamaner. The culprit trapped the victim by recording the details of credit card of the victim.

Having received a complaint to the cyber cell, Circle Inspector Ramesh has initiated enquiry and nabbed the cyber criminal quickly. Senthil Kumar appealed to the customers of the banks not to reveal the particulars of their credit cards to any person if asked on telephone.

He appealed the public to avail the services of the police by complaining to Police Whatsapp No.9440900005 or Cyber Mithra No.9121211100 to get immediate assistance . The SP has congratulated cyber cell CI Ramesh Babu for nabbing the cyber criminal in Palamaner case.
