Andhra Pradesh minister Perni Nani said that the dream of the poor has come true today and Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has created a situation where they can get up and go back with the assurance that they have a home. CM YS Jagan was hailed as the only person who could build a house without taking a single penny and without debt. He said that he had gone beyond his father in providing popular rule and was going to set up seventeen thousand new villages in the state. Ministers Perni Nani, Vellampalli Srinivas, MLAs Malladi Vishnu and Vasantha Venkata Krishna Prasad were present at the distribution of pattas at the lay-out of poor house plots in Gajulapeta, Ibrahimpatnam.

Speaking on the occasion, Nani said, 6800 crore has been allocated for electricity and water supply. He said Jagan has a great personality who said that if the enemy is poor, he should benefit. The TDP has blocked the scheme with court proceedings in Amaravati claiming that their caste dominance will decrease if the poor prosper. "We will also make the dream of ownership a reality for all the journalists in Mayiladuthurai. " Nani said.

YSR Congress MLA Vasantha Krishna Prasad said that the previous government had misled the people by giving them pattas where they were no scope for living. "After YS Jaganmohan Reddy has become the Chief Minister, the welfare activities has started in the state and today the distribution of house plots to all the deserving," Krishna Prasad said. He, however, said that the TDP leaders did not see any of this and were incensed that the caste press was being obstructed and misleading the public government.

Collector Imtiaz said that 3,02,420 houses will be given in Krishna district. "It is a historic event to give these people the rails at once. We are giving TIDCO house site pattas to 29,696 people and today we have started construction of 1.67 lakh houses in the first installment," collector said.
