The election campaign held by all major political parties came to an end in kadapa district on Tuesday.

Election is being held for assembly segments like Badvel, kadapa, Railway Kodur, Rajampet, Rayachoti, Kamalapuram, Jammalamadugu, Pulivendula, Mydukuru and Parliament Constituencies like Kadapa, Rajampet in the district.

As many as 130 candidates for assembly, 15 candidates for kadapa parliament, 9 candidates for Rajampet Parliament constituency in the district.

Despite Janaseena, BJP, CPI, Congress parties are in the fray their contest is just nominal to prove political existance. Main contest is witnessing between YSRCP, Telugu Desam Party in all 10 assembly segments and Kadapa, Rajampet Parliamentary Constituencies.

TDP national president N Chandrababu Naidu addressed public meetings, Road shows in Jammalamadugu, Pulivendula, Badvel, Rayachoti, Kadapa assembly segments for three times since Election Commission of India announced election schedule.

National Conference President and former chief minister of Jammu & Kashmir Farooq Abdullah addressed road show along with Chandrababu Naidu at kadapa city where 47% of Muslims were decideing factor.

Meanwhile opposition leader and YSR Congress president YS Jagan Mohan Reddy addressed Road shows in Rayachoti, Pulivendula, Mydukuru, Badvel, Kadapa assembly segments, JSP Chief Pawan Kalyan conducted Road show at Mydukuru, addressed public meeting in Kadapa city during his electioneering.

Following prevaling uneasy situations especially in Jammalamadugu Pulivendula assembly segments after the murder of YS Vivekananda Reddy the police administration ensure all steps to prevent untoward incidents during the election time.

According to the SP Abhishek Mohanty as many as 768 critical polling stations have been identified accorss the district apart from 43 vulnerable polling stations only in Jammalamadugu, Pulivendula assembly segments.

He analysed 6 companies of CAPF , 6 Companies of IRB, 20 Platoons of APSP, 179 ASIs, 125 SIs, 60 CIs, 11 DSPs were deployed to ensure people to cast their vote smooth and fair manner.
