Eluru: Ward secretariats to be fully functional from Feb 11
West Godavari District Collector R Muthyala Raju has directed municipal commissioners to ensure that ward secretariats were fully functional with effective from February 11.
Eluru: West Godavari District Collector R Muthyala Raju has directed municipal commissioners to ensure that ward secretariats were fully functional with effective from February 11.
Addressing a review meeting with municipal commissioners here on Friday, the District Collector ordered them to take measures so that all 541 services extended by ward secretariats reach the beneficiaries through the concerned volunteers.
He asked them to make it a point to display beneficiaries of each scheme besides providing guidelines of each scheme, how to apply and benefits to them. The registers of the schemes should be maintained in the secretariat apart from allocation of work to the staff concerned in the secretariats. He asked the municipal commissioners to call for tenders immediately to provide furniture and other infrastructure at the secretariats, if it was not done so far.
