Ensure all eligible get housing facility

Visakhapatnam: The city should stand first in the implementation of housing scheme for all the poor to be taken up on a big scale on Ugadi day, said M Samuel, advisor to Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy.

He was speaking at a review meeting held here on Saturday. Lauding the officials in the district for preparing themselves well for successful implementation of the programme, he advised them to ensure that all the eligible beneficiaries would get the housing facility.

Stating that it was an important scheme among the 'Navaratnalu', the pet project of the government, Samuel said the officials of various wings should work in tandem to make it a successful project. Houses under the scheme would have all basic facilities and the colonies would also have parks and playgrounds, he added. District Collector V Vinay Chand directed officials that plots should be completed by March 10. Joint Collector and others also spoke.
