Vijayawada: Minister for external affairs S Jaishankar has said India is recovering from Covid pandemic and economic slowdown and predicts 11 per cent growth in GDP in the financial year of 21-22.

He said the Union budget will give a big boost for the manufacturing sector and for proper development of human resources. Addressing a media conference at the BJP state office here the Union Minister said Indian government successfully handled the Covid pandemic and about 40 lakh Indians living abroad were brought back to India including 2.9 lakh Telugu people.

He said the Union budget has given top priority for Healthcare and well being of people. Replying to a question Jayashankar said the Indo- US relations will continue in the same manner as it existed during the Trump administration. He said the Union government is taking all measures to help the distressed Indians living abroad.
