VIJAYAWADA: Finance Minister B Rajendranath Reddy presented the vote on account budget at the 12th session of the 15th state legislative assembly meeting at Velagapudi on Wednesday. The vote on account budget was presented on the third day of the assembly proceedings. Minister presented the annual budget for the 2024-25 with estimated expenditure of Rs.2.86 lakh crore.

Revenue expenditure is estimated at Rs.2.30 lakh crore and capital expenditure estimated at Rs.30,530 crore. Deficit is estimated at Rs.55,817 crore. Revenue deficit is Rs.24,758 crore. GSTP deficit is estimated at 1.56 percent. The minister expressed happiness on presenting the budget for the fifth financial year in the Assembly.

Addressing the house Finance Minister said the government fulfilled the aspirations of the people in a five year term. He said the government delivered good governance and decentralised the power and administration by setting up village and ward secretariats. He said the government strengthened the democracy by installing village and ward secretariats and appointing the secretariat staff and volunteers.
