Tirupati: The TTD is now embroiled in yet another controversy. The TTD has been flooded with complaints protesting over appearance of words "Sri Yesaiah Sri Venkatesayanamaha".

This issue came to light when some netizens searched for TTD calender 2019 pdf on google search.

As the issue went viral on social media as well, TTD EO Anil Kumar Singhal ordered for a vigilance probe and directed the security officials to file a complaint with cyber police.

The TTD contends that it appears that some one had created a fake website www.tirumala.org where these words were seen.

They said the official website was perfect and there is no display of such words. This issue needs to be probed thoroughly.

The big question is how could anyone play this kind of mischief? Those who are well versed with cyber knowledge say that usually spacing should be avoided in the file name. But the file name includes ' ' indicating existence of space.

There could be three scenarios, experts say. One is incorrect rendering of hyperlink as there are spaces in the file names or file might have got deleted or it may be showing a file that does not exist or uploaded.

Normally, only the domain owner or the person who has access to hosting will have permission to upload the files. There is also a possibility that the hosting account was compromised due to weak password.

In such a scenario, there is a possibility that some anonymous person who can gain access could modify, delete or inject files. According to officials, the IT department of the TTD and consultants from TCS were trying to find out where the mistake has occurred and who was responsible for the mischief.

Meanwhile the url has been blocked for now. A little probe by The Hans India showed that it is a cache version of the document. Google maintains cache of articles for some time.

Someone who has access to the hosting site could have added it or when the google translated the original document which had the words Sriyai Namah it became Yesaiah Namah.

When contacted Anil Rachamalla founder of End Now foundation and an expert on digital safety said that they had probed into the issue and found out that it was an issue related to Google bar and in all probability, it is only a translation error.

Though the panchangam calendar was uploaded in website on April 6, 2019 but the modified page appeared on Google bar on November 29 the day when TTD chairman Y V Subba Reddy released the new English calendar of TTD.
