Fresher's Day celebrated at Siddhartha Mahila Kalasala

Vijayawada: Fresher's Day was organised by the students of Siddhartha Mahila Kalasala on the college premises on a grand note on Friday. The day was organised to welcome the new students who had joined the degree and junior Intermediate courses.

Addressing the students on the occasion, the college director Dr T Vijayalakshmi said that this programme was organised to create a friendly ambience and avoid ragging by seniors. She said that the college has a good reputation that students are good at studies and sports and social activities.

The college principal, M Nalini said that studies teach us to be obedient and sports and cultural activities will keep everyone mentally fit and active. She said that all the students should maintain a healthy relation among themselves.

Later, the students participated in cultural programmes like dance, singing and others. Students' union convener Dr A Nagajyothi, K Shashi, Dr Kusumaneela, Praveena, Dr Manju, faculty, students and others were present.
