In a major set back to the Telugu Desam Party, the Gannavaram MLA Vallabhaneni Vamsi has announced that he would join the YSRCP very soon.
Vijayawada: In a major set back to the Telugu Desam Party, the Gannavaram MLA Vallabhaneni Vamsi has announced that he would join the YSRCP very soon.
He said the TDP is losing confidence of the people and he has been facing harassment from TDP leaders. Speaking to media Vamsi said he had decided to work with Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy and would join the party very soon. There are speculations that Vamsi would join the YSRCP but all of a sudden Vamsi announced his joining with YCP.
He told the media that he would join YSRCP for the development of Gannavaram Assembly constituency. He said that he would support the decision taken by the YSRCP government to convert all schools into English medium from the next academic year. He questioned what is wrong with the decision taken by the Government on English medium.
He has alleged some leaders had insulted him and questioned why he should face harassment and humiliation. Only two TDP MLAs were elected from Krishna district in the Assembly elections. Gadde Rammohan from Vijayawada east and Vallabhaneni Vamsi from Gannavaram. Interestingly, Telugu Yuvata state president Devineni Avinash also joining the YSRCP this evening in the presence of CM Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy. The TDP would be weakened in Gannavaram with the quitting of Vamsi.
