Vijayawada (NTR District): Governor Biswabhusan Harichandan congratulated NSS Programme Officers and volunteers for winning awards at national-level and for participating in the Republic Day Parade held in New Delhi on January 26.
Higher Education Principal Secretary J Shyamala Rao called on the Governor at Raj Bhavan here on Friday along with NSS programme officers Dr P Ashok Reddy, Jitendra Goud, Parthasarathy, Devanapalli Siri and D Sai, who won awards at national level and NSS volunteers Vandana, Bhuvaneswari, Ramya, Mahalakshmi, Dedeepya, VSN Lakshman, GG Deepak Reddy, B Gopi, S Jishnu Reddy and J Vasu from various universities across the State, who participated in Republic Day Parade in New Delhi, as part of the 148-member NSS contingent. The Governor appreciated the selfless services provided by the NSS volunteers and wished them to win many more such awards in the future.
Special Chief Secretary to Governor R.P. Sisodia, Joint Secretary PS Suryaprakash, NSS Coordinator Dr Ramachandra Rao were among those present on the occasion.
