Indian Oil and HDFC Bank Ltd launched a co-branded fuel credit card for users from non-metro cities and towns here on Wednesday.

Visakhapatnam: Indian Oil and HDFC Bank Ltd launched a co-branded fuel credit card for users from non-metro cities and towns here on Wednesday.

The Indian Oil and HDFC Bank Credit Card offer customers in non-metro cities and towns, the highest till date rewards and benefits on fuel consumption. The card will be available on RuPay and Visa platforms.

The card was launched by Kuntal Mukherjee, Indian Oil's DGM (Retail Sales) and D Gopalakrishna, Cluster Head and vice-president, HDFC Bank at an event in COCO Kailashgiri High Selling RO.

Customers can earn reward points known as 'fuel points' at over 20,000 Indian Oil outlets. They also earn fuel points on other expenses such as groceries, bill payments, utilities and other shopping. These points can be redeemed for up to 50 litres of free fuel annually. To apply for the card, customers can visit www.hdfcbank.com or walk into the nearest bank branch.

Interacting at the launch event, Kuntal Mukherjee said, "Indian Oil has been a pioneer in promoting cashless and digital transactions with more than 98 per cent of our vast network of 27,000-plus retail outlets capable of accepting credit/debit card payments. In fact, more than 27 per cent of all transactions at our petrol stations are through various digital modes." Redeem points for up to 50 litres of fuel per year, 5 per cent of fuel points at Indian Oil pumps, 5 per cent of fuel points on grocery spends, and utility payments and annual fee of Rs 500 waived on annual spends of Rs 50,000 are some of the key benefits of the card.
