Kadapa: 62-yr-old man beheaded over financial disputes
A 62-year-old man was found murdered in Yerraguntla town on Wednesday. The deceased was identified as L Venkataramana of Yerraguntla.
Kadapa: A 62-year-old man was found murdered in Yerraguntla town on Wednesday. The deceased was identified as L Venkataramana of Yerraguntla. Police suspect that financial matters might be the reasons for the murder.
Though the incident took place three days ago, it came to light on Wednesday during police raids on the house of former Yerraguntla Municipal vice-chairman S Musalaiah where police recovered the body (torso) of Venkataramana.
According to the source, the deceased Venkataramana was having a dispute with former Yerraguntla Municipal vice-chairman S Musalaiah with regard to financial matters for the past few weeks. The duo frequently got heated arguments over the issue.
Meanwhile, Venkataramana was missing for the past three days and his family members made a complaint with the Yerraguntla police.
Following the complaint and on the suspiciton, police conducted raids on the residence of Musalaiah and found the torso of Venkataramana dumped in a water sump at the house of Musalaiah.
Police also recovered the head of the victim kept in a box on Bypass Road near the town. Yerraguntla police arrested the accused Musalaiah and registered the case and are investigating.
