Kadapa: Minister of Health and Family Welfare Alla Nani said that various medical institutions are being set up in the district by spending Rs 845 crore.

Corporate level super speciality hospital, Cancer Hospital, hospital for mentally retorted persons and medical college will be established in Kadapa district, he said. The Health Minister inspected the land acquired for medical college in Pulivendula town along with Deputy Chief Minister Amzath Basha, Kadapa MP Avinash Reddy, Collector Ch Harikiran on Monday. He said that tenders will be called for medical college in Pulivendula town which will be established at Rs 350 crore.

He said that the in view of bringing qualitative free medical services to the poor and downtrodden communities government is keen on constructing medical college with Super speciality hospital in every MP constituency. Already 11 medical colleges were constructed against 25 MP constituencies in the state, he said. Chief Minister has decided to construct medical college in every MP constituency which is first of its kind in the country, he said.

Joint Collector(development) Saikanth Varma, Trainee Collector Vikas Marmat, PADA OSD Anilkumar Reddy and others were present.
