Kala Utsav district-level competitions held in Kakinada
The district level ‘Kala Utsav-2019’ competition was organised by district education mission Samagra Shiksha at MSN Charities Aided High School here on Tuesday.
Kakinada: The district level 'Kala Utsav-2019' competition was organised by district education mission Samagra Shiksha at MSN Charities Aided High School here on Tuesday.
Speaking on the occasion, Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA) Additional Project Director B Vijay Bhaskar said that the art forms and culture should be imparted to the students at the school level and extended support to elicit their artistic skills.
He stated that the cultural activities and training would be implemented in all the government schools of the State. He said that State level Kala Utsav 2019 competitions will be held at Vijayawada on December 16 and 17.
MSN Charities Aided School principal MS Subramanyam and coordinator Kesari Srinivasa Rao said that a total of 121 students came forward for the participation from various schools and colleges in the district.
The competition was held in four categories namely, vocal music, instrumental music, dance and painting for both male and female students. Eight students (four boys and four girls) were selected to compete in the state level, they said.
