Kia Motors plans to conduct Covid tests to staff in Penukonda
An employee of the company hailing from Chennai and resides in Anantapur tests positive
Penukonda (Anantapur): Kia Motors management is sending its employees in a phased manner to the local government hospital for conducting Covid 19 tests by collecting blood samples from them. The company has taken the decision to conduct Covid tests to its employees as one of its employee from Chennai tested Covid positive.
The employee who tested positive resides in Anantapur town and is picked up by the company bus every day. Along with him, 30 of co-workers also travel in the bus to Penukonda. So, they were sent to the quarantine centre in the district head- quarters. His family members also were sent to the quarantine centre.
Kia Motors is now running two shifts every day. The company which started with a single general shift, is now operating on two shifts. Shortly it will operate in fully by working in 3 shifts a day. Management sources stated that any worker having even mild symptoms and if tested positive would be quarantined. All precautions are being taken to curb the spread of Covid 19 virus.
