Kurnool: Rayalaseema Saguneeti Sadana Samithi (RSSS) demanded the government to construct the proposed medical college on government lands instead of at Regional Agriculture Research Station (RARS) in Nandyal. The samithi delegates led by its vice president YN Reddy met Deputy Chief Minister Alla Nani and Finance Minister Buggana Rajendranath Reddy who visited the proposed land near Nunepalle on the outskirts of Nandyal on Friday and gave a representation to withdraw the move.

The samithi vice president said that the RARS has 115 years old history and thousands of people had completed their researches from this centre. Now the government has taken a decision to allocate 60 acres of fertile land to construct a medical college, he said. This land is very much useful for agricultural research, he added.
