Deputy Chief Minister Alla Nani has directed engineering department officials to maintain high quality in construction works.
Eluru: Deputy Chief Minister Alla Nani has directed engineering department officials to maintain high quality in construction works.He inaugurated Panchayat Raj superintending engineer office constructed at a cost of Rs 70 lakh here on Wednesday.
Speaking on the occasion, the minister said that once the engineers focus on construction quality, the works will last for a longer period. When corruption enters construction works, they will ruin in a few months causing wastage of public money.
He urged the engineers to save public money by giving no room for graft in construction works. Collector R Muthyala Raju said that as the government is implementing transparent administration, officials have to be responsible for all lapses. There should be answerability to every action of officials, he said.MLC Ramu Suryarao, Joint Collector M Venugopala Reddy and other officials were present.
