Man attempts to rape 4-year-old girl in Prakasam district
In an incident, a person has attempted to rape a 4-year-old girl at Minnekallu village in Santhamaguluru mandal of Prakasam district on Sunday evening.
In an incident, a person has attempted to rape a 4-year-old girl at Minnekallu village in Santhamaguluru mandal of Prakasam district on Sunday evening.
Going into details, a young man by name K Mahalakshmaiah (20) lives near a pound in the village. In the nearby, P Nagaraju and his wife also reside. At the time of the incident, Nagaraju and his wife went to work and left their four-year-old daughter with the grandmother Adilakshmi.
When Adilakshmi and girl were playing near the pound, Mahalakshmaiah approached them and took the girl to a side as part of a play and attempted to assault her sexually.
On hearing the screaming, Adilakshma rushed to the girl and rescued her. She revealed the matter with her son Nagaraju. Immediately, they approached the police station and lodged the complaint.
Upon receiving the information, the police registered a case and initiated the investigation. After the incident, Mahalakshmaiah escaped away from the village.
