Minister launches temple renovation works in Vijayawada
Endowments Minister Vellampalli Srinivas has said that the government will develop temples across the state.
Vijayawada: Endowments Minister Vellampalli Srinivas has said that the government will develop temples across the state. The minister inaugurated development works of temples here on Sunday. An estimated Rs 12 lakh was allocated for works at Sri Venkateswara Swamy temple in One-Town.
Speaking on the occasion, the minister said that the department will grant funds for the development of various temples across the state. He said special measures are being taken to protect the temples in the state and funds will be released.
The minister was welcomed by the temple executive officer G Harigopinath along with temple acrchakas. Special pujas were preformed on the occasion. Additional commissioner V Satyanarayana, Endowment Department officials G Srinivas, Nagendra Kumar, Arya Vysya Sangham president K Vidhyadar Rao and others were present on the occasion.
