In junior section, NVV Kiranmayi of Viswa Kavi Junior College, Telaprolu secured a gold medal in 76 kg category, G Bhargav Ganesh won silver medal in 130 kg category, G Rakesh bagged bronze medal in 110 kg category respectively.
In sub junior category Vijayawada's SKPVV Hindu High School student T Harika (49 kg) bagged silver medal. Minister for Endowment Velampalli Srinivasa Rao praised and felicitated both the junior and sub-junior wrestlers at his camp office in Vijayawada on Tuesday.
Speaking on the occasion, he said that students should perform not only in education but also exhibit their talent in sports. He informed that the State government would encourage sports and games and giving cash awards to outstanding players.
Wrestlers should show their talent in upcoming nations, he added. Krishna district wrestling in-charge M Chatergi, coach G Rambabu, N Lakshmi and others participated.
