Minor raped by neighbour for 2 years, accused held in East Godavari district

A person M Appalaraju has taken the photos and videos of a young girl (17) while she was taking a bath and threatened her to make them online if she doesn't listen to him, raped her for nearly two years, and recently she became pregnant.
The girl's parents, who were blind about this, got her married to another man on this month 14th. After the marriage, the in-laws came to know about the girl, took her for the medical tests, and found that she was four months pregnant.
With this, the in-laws sent the girl back to her parent's house. When her parents asked her what had happened, with the fear, she consumed pesticides. Immediately, the family members rushed her to the government hospital. On receiving the information, the police inquired with the girl, where she revealed that Appalaraju had threatened and raped her for the last two years.
Kakinada DSP Karan Kumar has visited the girl's village on Wednesday and questioned the villagers and recorded their statements. Appalaraju tried to escape from the village, was arrested by the police at highway junction.
