Narasaraopet: YSRCP activist Kunireddy Krishna Reddy (30) was allegedly murdered by his political rivals on Monday night at Janga Maheshwaram village of Gurazala mandal in Palnadu district. He was riding a bike when rivals followed him and attacked with knives. Gurazala police registered the case and took up investigation. Palnadu district SP Ravishankar Reddy visited the scene of crime and inquired about circumstances leading to murder. Addressing the media in Narasaraopet on Tuesday, SP Ravishankar Reddy informed that they have set up three special teams of the police officials to arrest the accused in the murder case.

He said they don’t know the reason for the murder. He termed it as a political murder. Gurazala DSP Pallapu Raju was also present at the press meet. Addressing the media in Gurazala on Tuesday, MLA Kasu Mahesh Reddy alleged that former MLA Yarapathineni Srinivasa Rao hatched a conspiracy and engineered the murder. He demanded stern action against the accused. He alleged that with a fear of defeat in the coming Assembly elections, Yaraapthi Srinivasa Rao encouraged the murder. He alleged that the latter has started faction politics in the constituency.

Addressing a separate press meet, MLA Pinnelli Rama Krishna Reddy said he will take up Krishna Reddy murder case with the Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy and request to take stern action against the accused. He said the accused stabbed Krishna Reddy 22 times.
