Vijayawada: As many as 57 naval cadets who passed in B-Certificate exam received 'NCC B-Certificate' from 8 Andhra Naval Unit Commander K P Shaik here on Sunday. The 8 Andhra Naval Unit NCC had arranged a convocation ceremony at Andhra Loyola College here on Sunday.

Addressing the gathering, the commanding officer said that students who choose to join NCC are given rigorous training and are exposed to various challenges, participate in social oriented need based activities and render their service to the nation.

They get self-disciplined and readily work in teams. They are trained to obey their leaders and execute the task within the allotted time. NCC cadets are therefore deserved to be honoured in a special way. This may motivate other students to join NCC and render voluntary services to the nation through NCC.

Andhra Loyola College Associate NCC officers Lieutenant Commander M Arokiasamy, Sub-Lieutenant Dr K Parameswara Rao, Chief Petti Officer Sankar, PI staff Srikanth, Bala Krishna and cadets from Andhra Loyola College, PB Siddhartha Arts and Science College and Maris Stella College participated in this event.
