Former minister Somireddy Chandramohan Reddy took to Twitter to comment on the resignation of former JD Lakshminarayana to Jana Sena party. Somireddi said in his tweet that NTR and MGR had also acted in films even when they got into politics.

"Lakshmi Narayana Garu, NTR and MGR have acted in the films after foraying into politics, and there is no harm to the state even if Pawan Kalyan does one or two films," Somireddy tweeted. "It is a danger to democracy if the politicians act in real life," He added.

Lakshminarayana, who has been unhappy with the party line and Pawan Kalyan's attitude for quite some time, has decided to leave the party. He sent his resignation letter to party president Pawan Kalyan. In the letter, the former CBI JD alleged Pawan Kalyan of not having rigid ideology who always turns his stand on every issue. It is for this reason that Lakshminarayana has decided to quit the Jana Sena party.
