NSTL Industry User meet held in Vizag
Naval Science and Technological Laboratory (NSTL) organised NSTL Industry User Meet (NIUM) 2019 here on Saturday.
Visakhapatnam: Naval Science and Technological Laboratory (NSTL) organised NSTL Industry User Meet (NIUM) 2019 here on Saturday. Director and member of Board Larsen and Toubro Jayanth D Patil inaugurated the event.
He spoke on the need for synergy among user, designer and industry. Speaking on the occasion, NSTL Director O R Nandagopan explained the evolution of NSTL as system provider and the recent contract worth Rs 1,187.82 crore for production of Varunastra torpedoes with Bharat Dynamics Limited. He ensured technical support to industrial partners in future.
The role of DRDO as system designer for services was highlighted by Director General (PC and SI) DRDO HQ S Guruprasad. Director General (Naval Systems and Materials) Samir V Kamat, industrial partners of NSTL, scientists and staff took part in the programme.
