Ongole: The rank and file in TDP including the former chairman of Yadav Corporation Nukasani Balaji, LIDCAP former chairman Erikshan Babu staged an 8hrs protest in the district party office against the arrests of Kinjarapu Atchannaidu, J C Prabhakar Reddy and other party leaders in the state.
Addressing the gathering, Balaji, Erikshan Babu, party district general secretary Dr Raj Vimal Gurrala, state women executive secretary Alla Venkataratnam and others said the Kinjarapu family was in the active politics for the last 35 years without any allegations against them. They opined that the YSRCP fears about the fierce arguments by Atchannaidu in the Assembly and wanted to stop him attending the coming sessions. They said that Atchannaidu and Prabhakar Reddy were arrested for questioning the YSRCP government on corruption, scams in the sand, liquor, mines, land acquisition, and others.
Local leaders Kamepalli Srinivasa Rao, Eddu Sasikanth Bhushan, Ravula Padmaja, Mantri Srinivas, Kotari Nageswara Rao and others also participated in the dharna. Women wing leaders Alla Venkataratnam, Nalam Narasamma and other women cadre organised candle rally in Ongole in support of arrested TDP leaders.
