According to Tati Vidyadhar, the man who received the provisional patent recently, the new technology would collect the rainwater, filters impurities before storing for regular usage. Vidyadhar said that he worked for five years in the research and development of technology and made prototypes for sanction of patent.

He said the technology would provide solutions for water scarcity in the future and claimed that the equipment he designed can be installed on the rooftops, vacant lands or farms for the collection of rainwater and process it. He announced that he had developed nine models of equipment so that the households, industries, hotels or hospitals and farmers could choose the model upon their requirement.

He said the customers could also install solar panels for generation of electricity or smoked tiles for absorption of UV rays and cooling the building naturally as part of the equipment.
