Ongole: VRO takes Rs 1 lakh bribe for giving land details, held

Anti-Corruption Bureau Ongole DSP M Suryanarayana Reddy Stated that they have successfully trapped the VRO of B Maddulur village, Santhnuthalapadu mandal, Poondla Srihari Babu for demanding and accepting a bribe to give details of the lands in the name of the complainant’s father and other relatives and issue pattadar passbooks
Ongole: Anti-Corruption Bureau Ongole DSP M Suryanarayana Reddy Stated that they have successfully trapped the VRO of B Maddulur village, Santhnuthalapadu mandal, Poondla Srihari Babu for demanding and accepting a bribe to give details of the lands in the name of the complainant's father and other relatives and issue pattadar passbooks.
The DSP said that they received a complaint from Nannuri Madhusudana Rao of Maddulur village that the VRO was demanding a bribe of Rs 1.50 lakh to give information of lands registered in the name of his father Nannuri Koteswara Rao and other relatives in the revenue records as per the partition deeds and issue pattadar passbooks.
The ACB officials laid a trap and sent the complainant with Rs 1 lakh as an advance bribe amount and caught the VRO red-handed at his private office near tahsildar office in Santhanuthalapadu, on Monday.
The ACB sleuths seized the tainted money of Rs 1 lakh and relevant records and arrested the accused officer and produced him in the court of the special judge for SPE and ACB cases at Nellore.
