Vijayawada: Commissioner of Police Dwaraka Tirumala Rao has assured the Urs committee members that the police would give full co-operation for the 423rd Urs celebrations of the Hajarath Syed Shah Bukhari in Kodapalli from March 4 to 6.
The Urs festival committee members met the Commissioner Tirumala Rao at the office on Thursday and invited him for Urs celebrations. Festival committee chairman Mohammed Altaf Raza said that nearly one lakh devotees may attend the Urs festival in Kondapalli.
Muslim Sankshema Samiti State president Mukthar Ali and others visited the office of the Police Commissioner. They felicitated the Commissioner with a shawl on the occasion.
