Eluru: West Godavari Superintendent of Police Navdeep Singh Grewal has said that the job in the Police department gives him satisfaction as the police work round-the-clock till they retire.
At a farewell function arranged for 10 retired police personnel here on Sunday, the SP said that while parents look after children for 25 years, the police department cares for the cops for about 35 years. The police do their job by sacrificing many things in life such as attachment with family.
They have no time to spend their time with family members and enjoy, he lamented. He asked the retiring cops to approach the police department for any help in availing retirement benefits and other things.
