Andhra Pradesh government has good news for tenant farmers as the govt has increased the deadline for receiving applications for Raithu Bharosa scheme. Agriculture Minister Kurasala Kannababu said the possibility is up to December 15. Minister Kannababu and Deputy CM Subhash Chandrabose, who conducted the review with the officials and collectors, gave orders to this extent. "The deadline has been raised due to problems faced by tenants across the state," the minister said.

Only the tenant farmers have been given the deadline. "The government is taking steps to apply the scheme to every eligible farmer. In addition to the farmer's assurances, a three-day special Spandana program is being conducted in the offices," the Tahsildar said. Responding to the problems of farmers, he said. A total of 2.89 lakh petitions were received in a Spandana program conducted last week.

A few days ago Chief Minister Jagan also reviewed the Raithu Bharosa scheme and said that the problems of farmers and tenant farmers should be addressed and resolved immediately. Officials estimate that the Raithu Bharosa Scheme applies to another 5 lakh landowners.
