Rajamahendravaram: Around 300 women participated in Sankranti Rangoli competitions held under the aegis of Supermathi Oil Company at Margani estates grounds here on Sunday.

Later, distributing prizes to winners, MP Margani Bharat Ram underlined the need to protect our traditions, which are our part and parcel of life.

Rangoli competitions, preparation of sweets, Gangireddulu, Haridas etc are part and parcel of Sankranti festival. Because of coronavirus, people are not celebrating some festivals. He appealed to the people to wear masks to avoid coronavirus. He congratulated Supermathi Oil Company management for organising rangoli competitions.

The government is initiating steps to administer Covid-19 vaccine across the state shortly and said everyone should take the vaccine without fail.

TV actress Suhasini, YSRCP leader Routhu Suryaprakasa Rao, K Sagar and others were present.
