Vijayawada: Civil Supplies Minister Kodali Venkateswara Rao alias Nani along with the Krishna district Superintendent of Police M Ravindranath Babu inaugurated the renovated One-Town police station building in Gudivada on Monday. The police station was built in 1989 and now renovated at a cost of Rs 5 lakh. Control room and other facilities were arranged in the renovated police station.

Speaking on the occasion, Nani said the control room set up at the police station will be extremely useful to check the crimes in the town. He said CC cameras were installed at 26 places in the town to keep vigil on the anti-social elements, thefts and other offences.

He complimented the SP, M Ravindranath Babu stating that the SP has been trying to crack down the liquor and sand smuggling in the district and been maintaining the law and order in the district perfectly. He assured that suitable site will be allotted for construction of DSP office in Gudivada.

SP Ravindranath Babu said the police station will be very useful to prevent the crime and nab the criminals. He congratulated the DSP Satyanandam and other officials in Gudivada for successfully renovating the police station. Special Branch DSP Dharmendra, Circle inspectors Abdul Nabi, Durgarao, Ramesh and others were present.
