In a bid to increase attendance in the schools, the Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has directed the officials concerned to make the school buildings in a lively manner.

Amaravati: In a bid to increase attendance in the schools, the Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has directed the officials concerned to make the school buildings in a lively manner. During a review meeting with the education department on Friday at Tadepalli in Guntur district, the Chief Minister suggested the officials paint the walls of the schools with attractive paintings, make the school environment the best place for the students.

All these activities to be undertaken as part of the ongoing Nadu Nedu programme in school education. He inquired about the progress of the works in government schools in the Nadu Nedu programme.

The Chief Minister directed them to commence the development works in all the schools, as scheduled.

Asking officials to ensure quality in works, he stated that the officials must take in the material to be used for the works. He said that from the compound wall to the school building walls, everything must be in an attractive and pleasant manner. While directing them to ensure quality in the works, he assured that the government will spend the required money for this Nadu Nedu programme.

As part of the Nadu Nedu, the officials were directed to establish e-Schools also.

Jagan asked the officials to conduct classes on morals and ethics to the students in the schools. He observed that these are essential in education.

While reviewing on the Jaganna Vidya Kanuka, he said that the school children should get at least three pairs of school uniform, notebooks, textbooks, belt and school bag as a student kit.
