With the heavy rains across the country, the private companies like IMD and SkyMate stated that the south-west monsoon is very satisfactory and said that the torrential rains set a record. With the onset of the storm, more resurgence has swept across the country. Though it rained extensively in many parts of the country, the northern states were shaken by heavy rains.

The Indian Meteorological Department has announced that this is the first such rainfall to be recorded in the last 25 years since 1994. The records show the third-highest rains since 1901. This season saw the highest rainfall ever recorded in September for the last 102 years. As a result, the June-September monsoon season recorded 48% higher than average rainfall.

According to the Meteorological Department, the monsoon season ended yesterday, but the monsoon is still active in many parts of the country. According to IMD sources, this season has set a record for monsoon withdrawals. They say that this is probably the most extended period of monsoon withdrawal. IMD sources said it would take another four to five days for the monsoon withdrawal.
