Srikakulam: The shifting of 75-year-old person, who died of Covid19, on an earth mover draw criticism from the family members of deceased and residents of Rajanna colony at Udayapuram in Palasa town.
In the wake of increasing number of corona positive cases, the municipal staff worried over its spread and shifted the body on an earth mover. On learning about the incident, District Collector J Nivas suspended municipal sanitary inspector S Rajiv on charges of shifting the body in an inhuman way for the last rites. This is the second Covid death in the district. The first Covid death reported in the district at Mandasa mandal centre 15 days ago.
