Visakhapatnam: The bandh observed by various students' unions, including SFI, AISF and PDSU was peaceful on Thursday. Several private and corporate educational institutions remained closed on the occasion.
While some of the institutions continued to work, those in Maddilapalem, Asilmetta, Dwarakanagar, Gajuwaka and NAD remained closed. As part of the bandh, several students took out a rally at various places. They demanded reimbursement of fee, release of scholarships and continuation of midday meals in junior colleges.
