TDP requests NHRC to protect fundamental rights of Atchannaidu, JC family
TDP approached Human Rights Commission on the arrests of the party leaders by the State government, on Wednesday.
Amaravati: TDP approached Human Rights Commission on the arrests of the party leaders by the State government, on Wednesday. MLA Nimmala Ramanaidu wrote a letter on arrest of MLA Kinjarapu Atchannaidu and MLC Gownivaari Sreenivasulu wrote on arrests of JC Prabhakar Reddy, ex-MLA and party another leader JC Asmith Reddy.
Ramanaidu stated that "Unleashing of terror by YSRCP-led Government in Andhra
Pradesh, it has been harassing Dalits and BCs, attempting to suppress dissent voices and destructing democratic institutions. Even the government resorted to unlawful
arrest and inhuman treatment of Atchannaidu." He further accused that the "YSRCP Government's vengeful act and violation of fundamental rights prompted the intervention of NHRC to restore rule of
law, human dignity, and fundamental rights in the State".
Sreenivasulu requested the intervention of NHRC in the arrest and violation of fundamental rights in the case of JC family.
