Telangana: 28 quintals of PDS seized in Gajwel

Around 28 quintals of PDS rice was seized by the Task Force Police, Gajwel when it is being transported illegally from Pebbair to Karnataka late on Wednesday night. The lorry which was carrying the PDS rice was also seized by the police.
Erukali Vijay Kumar, a resident of the Sherelli area of Gadwal town had collected 56 bags of PDS rice from Rangapur village of Pebbair mandal and was transporting the PDS rice. Based on specific information, the task force police seized the vehicle at Nadi Agraharam in Gadwal around 11 pm.
The police intervened the vehicle and seized it after finding the rice. They also seized a Bolero car. A case was registered against Vijay Kumar on a complaint from Enforcement DT Ganapathi.
