Tension grips in Hindupur after YSRCP cadre blocks MLA Balakrishna
Hindupur MLA Nandamuri Balakrishna was blocked by YCRCP activists on Thursday while he was on his way to the constituency as part of his one day tour.
Hindupur MLA Nandamuri Balakrishna was blocked by YCRCP activists on Thursday while he was on his way to the constituency as part of his one day tour. Against this backdrop, the tension prevailed at Rahatmatapuram Circle in Hindupur. YCRCP activists protested chanting slogans (Go Back Balayya) against Balakrishna. On the other hand, TDP activists who have come to the scene in big number had supported Balakrishna.
The YCRCP government headed by chief minister Jagan Mohan Reddy has proposed the three capitals to the state, which was opposed by TDP. In this backdrop, the YCRCP cadre blocked Balakrishna and took slogans against Balakrishna, Chandrababu and TDP.
As the situation escalated, the police arrested the protesters and taken to the station. In the wake of the incident, the police were heavily deployed in Hindupur.
