Visakhapatnam: Tourism Minister Muttamsetti Srinivasa Rao said that every individual should plant trees to create a pollution-free environment.
Participating in a sapling plantation programme near Panorama Hills here on Monday, the Minister said Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy has directed to plant 25 crore saplings in the state and of them, three crore saplings will be planted in the district.
Speaking on the occasion, Rajya Sabha MP V Vijayasai Reddy said Visakhapatnam will be developed as pollution-free city in the state. GVMC Commissioner G Srijana, VMRDA Commissioner P Koteswara Rao, Joint Collector M Venugopal Reddy, DFOs D Lakshman and Shanti Swaroop participated in the programme.
